Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to your questions and learn more about how our coaching can support your ADHD/AuDHD journey.
ADHD or AuDHD coaching is a practical, collaborative process that helps you understand how your brain works in real life and build ways of working that actually fit you.
It often involves things like:
• making sense of patterns (overwhelm, inconsistency, burnout)
• working with executive function challenges like time, motivation and organisation
• building realistic systems and strategies
• understanding your strengths and direction
Rather than trying to “fix” things, the focus is on understanding your system and learning how to work with it.

Coaching is very much driven by the client. The coach helps a client get really clear on their goals, find solutions for areas of challenge and focus on what is possible in the present moment. The coach also focuses on practical strategies and solutions for daily life challenges, while a therapist might explore deeper emotional or psychological issues. Coaching is action-oriented and future-focused, helping the client create tangible changes in their life.

Assuming after the intro call we wish to proceed, we typically meet online via video conference for 50-minute sessions, either two or three times a month to start with. Before each session, I’ll send you a prep form to get your brain gears turning. I also provide exercises, forms, and handy info through my coaching portal. Coaching is a journey, and like any good road trip, it takes a bit of time to see the scenery. But stick with it, and you’ll start to notice positive changes—without needing to ask, “Are we there yet?”
Working with an ADHD/AuDHD coach allows you to efficiently use your time and energy by collaborating with someone who can help you discover new strategies and approaches tailored to your specific needs.
Coaching focuses on building your confidence, fostering self-acceptance, and boosting your motivation. By working through challenges together, you'll develop a stronger belief in your abilities.
Your coach is your go-to ally, your accountability partner, your cheerleader, and your sounding board—all rolled into one. I’m here to encourage you, guide you, and help keep you on track toward your goals, even if that means a few friendly nudges along the way.
If you’re someone who thinks out loud, coaching is your playground. Many people with ADHD process their thoughts verbally, so coaching provides the perfect space to talk through ideas and obstacles. I’ll listen, empathise, and challenge you with compassion.
Absolutely! ADHD or AuDHD coaching is all about action and outcomes. We’ll focus on the present issues and create a game plan for achieving your future goals.
With a well-trained coach, you get someone who can cut through the noise and offer practical techniques and solutions. Thanks to my extensive training, research and desire to continually learn and improve within this field, I aim to bring together my knowledge and aim to help you move forwards.
Definitely! ADHD and AuDHD coaching is a space where your strengths take centre stage. Often, strengths get overlooked in discussions about ADHD or AuDHD, but here, we make sure they are addressed.
Clients can experience improved self-awareness, better coping strategies, enhanced daily functioning, and a greater sense of control over their lives. The coach will also help you measure your progress over time.
No worries at all! I believe in open communication, and if we find that the dynamic isn’t quite right, I’ll politely suggest we part ways. I’ll even help you find another coach who’s better suited to your needs if you wish. It’s all about finding the right match—like online dating, but for your brain.
Coaching is most effective when you’re open to new perspectives, willing to take action, and committed to personal growth. If you’re looking for guidance, structure, and accountability, and you’re ready to invest time and energy into yourself, coaching could be a great fit.
At present I only work with clients who are able to pay upfront. However, a client may be able to claim back any coaching fees which may be covered through the Access to Work scheme.
